while eris is more on the quiet and passive agressive side, aisha is far the far more 'in your face' type. he has a bit of a sailor's mouth, given that he spent his formative years around kiaran, amert, and hilda.starting in 6.1, aisha becomes the wol in eris' place.

if you asked anyone, they would tell you baasan was the moodmaker of every group he found himself in. he enjoyed seeing people happy and would do anything to make them that way.

rie placed the wellbeing of her children above all else and would never hesitate to do absolutely anything for them. she devoted her free time to gardening and researching ways to blend medicine with food in hopes of finding someway to help keep aisha in good health. rie was a firm believer in the protection qualities of red coral and crafted various types of jewelry for all of her loved ones.
during the raid, while baasan sent eris away, rie instructed aisha to stay hidden in a special wall compartment. while this ensured that he did in fact survive, he also bore witness to the his parent's final moments.

eris' family was an extremely happy and close family. though her father was sometimes rough in his affection and had energy the others did not, he loved them all the same. he served a pivotal role in the village as head of their tactical fighting division. he wanted everyone in the village to be able to stand their ground should they ever need to. he had a habit of working himself to the bone, having little regard for his own wellbeing. the only thing on his mind at all times was the safety of his family.
rie filled a role similar to that of a mayor. while aqua tides had no official governing body, she - along with a few others - helped to keep track of important documents and the like. she helped to make sure all trade coming in was safe and that everybody was doing their part. she tended to be a little too serious at times, but only when she felt it necessary. she was a kind and caring woman who, like her husband, placed the wellbeing of her family above all else.
aisha is the youngest child of the noelani family. sick from the time he was born, the entire family was unsure of what the cause was and thus they had no idea what cure there might be. eris helped to look after him the most while her parents were busy.

originally hailing from old sharlayan, kayane was a gleaner. one of her jobs sent her to kugane, where she met naru. though naru would deny this, the two hit it off and kayane quit her gleaner job and moved to kugane. after the imperial army began moving into the east, they were among the first to join a small resistance operation. kayane was sent undercover into the army and was only able to leave following eris' victory. she refuses to speak about the things she endured, one of which being the eye that she is now missing.
her and naru were married by the time she was 25, but she disappeared a couple years later, leaving naru to assume her dead and thus believe she was a widow. despite her attitude, naru can't bring herself to hate kayane, while kayane wants nothing more than to try and reconnect.

as a small child, zeus' was believed to be half auri. after scales did not develop, but horns, claws, teeth, and a tail did, it came to light that his father had drunk dragon's blood and forced his mother to do the same. this resulted in zeus' current state and killed his mother during birth. his father was exiled and zeus stayed behind, but was additionally shunned as well as the village did not want to be responsible for him any longer. they were left to wander alone for a long time before being taken in by a couple in coerthas. while he never finds out exactly why he looks the way he does, after meeting other aura, they begin to put two and two together.

eris grew up in a village near sui no sato called 'aqua tides'. the people that resided there had no love for the nomadic culture of their steppe cousins, but felt too confined to the ways of life in sui no sato and the areas up on land. they took to themselves, building what they considered their own little oasis. unbeknownst to all who inhabited the place, they had built their home above an abundance of mineral deposits - and soon, the empire desired them.
she lived with her mother rie, her father baasan, and her younger brother aisha. her mother filled many important roles in the village, and was extremely busy because of it. her father focused on training the other residents should they desire it. he felt that one could never be too prepared.
her brother aisha had been sick since birth. the cause was unknown and nobody could seem to figure out any cure. as eris was usually the only one home for long periods of time, she spent most of her time taking care of aisha - just doing what she could to keep him alive.
when the empire raided her village, they wer quickly fought off due to her father's skilled teachings. however, soon a second wave came and in three times the amount. knowing she was the only one fit enough to survive, her father set eris on a stingray, instructing her to go to kugane and bring anyone who could help them. he launched the ray out of the bubble, sending her hurtling towards the surface.
three days later she awoke on the beaches of the east othard coastline, being watched by a lala named momo and a viera named arie. the pair brought her to their friend naru in yanxia, a raen from sui no sato who happened to be an old friend of eris' mother. once there, they told her what they had heard of the attack and promised to take her back to the village after she rested for a day.
once they went back to the village, eris finally saw first hand the damage that was caused to her home. in no time at all, the empire has swooped in and ripped away the lives of everyone she knew - destroying the town center and the beautiful sand beneath it - all for a mineral to further their magitek advancements.
the crew made their way through the village, stopping once they reached eris' home. inside they found her family slaughtered, much like the rest of the village.
they had with them the village's sole survivor.
the three of them helped eris bury her family in her backyard before they departed.

naru was older and had sworn off having kids when she was younger, but she did all she could to continue helping to raise eris.
it was difficult, for both of them, in the beginning. eris felt that she was to blame for everything that happened to her home and to her family. because of this, she attempted to take her own life on more than one occaision.
naru was also the one to teach eris magic, which is how she became a red mage. naru was a medic for many years, with little combat knowledge. eris took the knowledge of magic and healing from naru, meshing it with her father's teachings to create a fighting style that worked for her.
through many years of hard work on both parts, naru helped eris channel that anger towards the culprits - the empire. however, eris grows to a rage so intense in the presence of imperials, she loses all control and rational train of thought. she begins slaughtering them without waiting, regardless of whether the imperial in question needed to be brought in alive for questioning or not.
one day, arie, momo, and eris had gone on a day trip nearby to explore. the group stumbled upon an abandoned camp, ripe with an abundance of crystals they had never seen before. momo tripped over one, causing the crystals to clash.
they awoke hours later after naru had gone to search for them. she healed them back to a state of consciousness and took them back home. the crystals and the camp were gone after they woke up.
even still, momo and arie are searching for what the mysterious crystals were and why their contact left such an impact on all three of them.
both arie and momo lost most of their vision in one eye, the iris turning a shining white. eris escaped with her vision intact, but like the others, her hair lost half of its color, turning white in some areas.
when eris officially left naru's home and left behind traveling with arie and momo, she made her way to limsa to begin what became her journey as the warrior of light.
originally, she only set on this path to become a force so revered, she could level the empire single handedly. her motivation first and foremost is and always will be revenge.
she began to grow out of her quiet shell a bit more as time progressed through the events of arr. she kept to herself mostly, but she began to let loose a little bit around alphinaud. she saw a lot of aisha in him, and the two got along extremely well.
near the end of arr, she met g'raha while working in the crystal tower. originally, she was extremely annoyed that her plans to advance her strength and continue culling the empire were interrupted. she found his joking nature to be troublesome and grew tired even thinking about working with him.
not long after the project had started, she had been tasked with working closely with him. she spent day after day with him, the two of them locked away as they read and researched for hours on end. he grew to like her quickly, her quiet and reserved nature making her all the more endearing. slowly but surely, eris found herself feeling the same way. she was angry at herself, at first, for it. falling for someone would be nothing but a thorn in her side, as feelings like that were unnecessary. she was sure one day she would need to betray the path she was walking to continue to carry out her vengence against the empire, but being with g'raha was the first time she had ever felt like she didn't want to. she wanted to do nothing but sit in that tower and listen to him rant about the tome they were pouring over. she wanted to do nothing but be with him.
when g'raha was sealed away within the crystal tower, she felt as if the world had abandoned her once more. it was a harsh remiinder that no matter what she did or how hard she tried, she was destined to always lose the ones she loved.

eris has little to no faith in herself and her abilities. despite this, she will do anything to help others. if she sees someone in danger, she will rarely think and will immediately jump in to help.she is extremely introverted and prefers to stay out of the spotlight. she enjoys patrolling around the area she's currently staying to help anyone who might need it, with her face concealed of course.she has a lot of trouble showing her feelings. she will rarely show her true self to anyone. she is only truly able to rewind around alphinaud and alisaie. having lost her family when she was young, eris sees a lot of her lost siblings in the twins. she has a dry sense of humor that the scions find endearing, most others get confused on whether or not she is actually serious.because of her family situation, she is an extremely sentimental person. she gets attached to people very quickly. when any of these people die, it takes her a very long time to even begin to move on.after a while, she began taking up gardening. she enjoys creating bouquets for those she's lost to fill her home so she can see them and remember the time she spent with them. she also began learning how to draw from alphinaud so that she could draw her fallen friends because she never wants to forget a face.g'raha was her first love and after believing she would never see him again, it broke her heart. following the events of shadowbringers, she was over the moon to not only see him again, but have him join her in her travels. the two now reside together in shirogane.. ⤫ .
